Frontend & Web Engineering
Scalable web applications built with React, Next.js, Astro, and TypeScript.
Modern web applications require more than just putting components together on a screen. They require predictable state management, resilient layout architecture, and optimal performance across every client device.
I specialize in building production-grade user interfaces that bridge the gap between design vision and reliable browser execution. Whether you are launching a new product, migrating off legacy stacks, or refactoring an existing codebase for speed, I engineer interfaces that are maintainable, accessible, and fast.
Engineering Philosophy
Great frontend code is written for two consumers: the end user who expects instant feedback, and the engineering team who has to maintain the codebase for years to come.
- Framework Agnostic UI Foundation: While Tailwind CSS and utility frameworks are powerful tools for rapid deployment, true frontend engineering relies on browser-level understanding. I build using whatever fits your ecosystem, including raw CSS custom properties, shadcn/ui, Radix primitives, Material UI, or custom design token systems.
- Predictable Server & Client State: Using TanStack Query, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand, I establish clean data fetching boundaries. This prevents unwanted re-renders, eliminates race conditions, and keeps client state synchronized with your backend APIs.
- Performance by Default: Every application is built with Core Web Vitals in mind from day one. This includes aggressive bundle splitting, image optimization, tree-shaking, and Web Assembly or Web Worker offloading when handling heavy client processing.
What You Get
When we collaborate on web engineering, you receive fully typed, documented, and tested production code ready to deploy:
- Pixel-Precise Layouts: Interfaces that accurately reflect design tokens, spacing scales, and responsive breakpoints across all viewports.
- Clean Component Hierarchies: Modular TypeScript components organized with clear separation between presentational layers and business logic.
- Cross-Browser Verification: Rigorous manual and automated checks ensuring uniform execution across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and mobile browsers.
- Complete Handover: Structured pull requests, clear commit histories, and setup documentation that allow your internal engineering team to take over without friction.
